Hello faithful readers!
Happy Good Friday! Today, 4/19, is a special day for me and my parents—it’s the day we moved to America. Today is our 12th anniversary. We usually celebrate it by going to a Japanese restaurant and reminiscing about Japan. Leaving Japan was an unexpected thing for us, so it is bitter-sweet.
It occurred to me today, how perfect it is that the anniversary falls on Good Friday this year. How Jesus died so I could be his friend, and the hard things that happen are now redeemed. Nothing Satan does affects me anymore. What Jesus did 2,000 years ago still affects me today. This day has been redeemed because of Jesus’ sacrifice!
For the last 2 months, I have been abandoning video making after God revealed to me that my video making had become a comfort to me. Since I am starting month 4 now, I’m exploring what God wants me to do with video making.
On our last day in Japan on the Race, I visited my childhood streets and made a vlog. But I hadn’t looked at the footage since then. A few days ago, I started putting this video together, without even thinking about the anniversary coming up. But what perfect timing to share this video with you guys!
Here’s a peek into my day and the redemption God has brought through this day.
