Hi everyone,
My time in Eastern Europe is coming to an end and my squad will be heading to southeast Asia for the next 4 months. I can’t believe that 3 months have passed already!
The first stop on our tour of Asia will be Vietnam, which is what we call a “closed country”. This means that we cannot outright talk to people about the gospel, and we’ll have to be creative and careful when talking about faith. We will have to tell people that we are with a humanitarian organization and cannot mention the words “missionary” or “church”.
For this reason, my blog will have a password to protect my words and also the World Race ministry as a whole. My password will be ISQUAD2018 for my entire time in Vietnam and then I will take it off once we have left. Feel free to pass this on to anyone who may need it to keep up with my journey.
Also, my team will not have a specific ministry in November like we have the past 3 months. This means that every day, we will ask the Lord where He wants us to go and what He wants us to do. I’m still a little nervous as to how this will work in a closed country, but I know God will bring us exactly where He wants us.
Please pray for all of us as we go in to a difficult situation and I can’t wait to update you on what God has taught me at the end of next month! If you have any questions about this next month, feel free to email me at [email protected].
Blessings,
Summer
