Here we are, month 10 of 11! How crazy is that? When the squad and I arrived here in Rwanda we had our last mini debrief of the Race, where we received our new and final teams. I’ve been placed on a team with four incredible women. If you’d like to get to know them more, you can check out their blogs on the left side of my page. I’m so grateful to have them with me as we finish out this journey together.

After debrief, we traveled to the small village of Kabuga for ministry this month. We’ve only been here four days and I already love this place. The country is beautiful, so lush and green. There is rich culture everywhere you turn. They’re making incredible movements to keep the country clean and it shows. Did you know plastic bags are illegal here?! Talk about minimizing plastic use. The people are also breathtaking in both their beauty and their kindness. Our host and those who live with him are some of the most servant-hearted people I have encountered in life. And the kids we are teaching are amazing. Our ministry consists of teaching English, Bible study, and Sunday school. One the daily I’m surrounded by kids who are eager to learn, to love, to be loved, and to be seen by someone. God has blessed me with the opportunity to pour my heart and His love into these kids. He has also given me a spiritually growing and supportive community in these women on my team. I couldn’t be more excited for this month.
