It’s Sunday! Our first off day and also our first day of church here in Serbia. We had fellowship this morning and got to worship with old songs. It was a really cool moment listening to people worship in English and Serbian, both singing the same song. Some of the people we met throughout the week came to the service and we got to talk with them a bit more. There’s a guy named Nichola who was recently saved a few months ago and is now exploring the different parts of his faith and growing stronger in his walk. I’m excited to get to know him and help disciple him in his growing faith.
I spent the rest of the day walking around the town, exploring with some of my teammates, finding good food and even better coffee. It was nice to go out without an agenda, and yet God still reminds me everyday that life is ministry and ministry is life. It happens all the time, even on the off days.
