That’s right, we are officially halfway through the Race. It has now been 167 days since I left my apartment in Tampa, Florida and headed to Atlanta for Launch. Looking back, I can’t decide if it feels like I have been away for years, or I only just left. Each month seems to fly by in itself, but when I look at the time since we’ve left as a whole, it’s almost half a year!
If there’s one thing the Race has taught me about time, it’s that we don’t have enough of it. We are only given a little snippet in God’s timeline to live out the life we choose. There’s not enough time to heal all the sick, find all the lost, feed all the hungry or sit with all the orphans. There’s not enough time to save this whole world from the direction it’s going. And yet still, with this little bit of time I have been given, I will choose to do those things. I will sit with the orphans, feed the hungry, search for the lost and help heal those who are sick. Why? Because I have given my time over to one who can do so much more with it. I have chosen to dedicate this little blip of life to serve the one who gave it to me. The last 5 1/2 months I have spent on the Race, I have done each of those things I listed above, all alongside God. I have chosen to do this life not for God, but WITH Him. And let me tell y’all, it has been the most incredible journey so far. My time is redeemed, my treasures are in heaven, my heart is full, and my life is His.
As we reach the halfway point in the Race, my absolute deadline to be fully funded has come up. I have $4,226 left to raise. If you would like to support me in continuing to do these things across the world and finish out my Race, you can donate on the homepage of my blog by clicking the “Donate!” button in the fundraising bar. Thank you so much for all of your prayers, support, and time!
With love from Albania,
Sum
