The words we speak have power; they are more powerful than many people realize. Our words can make someone’s day or tear them down. We can encourage one another with our words or we can crush the hopes and dreams of the ones we love by not watching what we say. Our words are more powerful than we give them credit. Through studying the word of God, I have come to see that words are a creative force!
Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; It shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the things for which I sent it.’
Speaking faith-filled words is God’s way to bring things into existence. And we are created in his own image. So just as a child imitates his parents, we should imitate our heavenly Father who created us in his image and likeness.
As I was thinking about this concept of speaking things into existence through our words, I thought I would give it a shot. As you all know, I am getting ready to serve the Lord for 11 months on The World Race. While I am ultimately embarking on this mission for His glory, there is much I would like to gain from this experience. So this is a prayer of sorts for how I would like God to mold me over these 11 months. Many of you who know me know I am obsessed with personal growth and development. So here are some clearly defined goals for what I would like to accomplish on the race, how I would like to contribute, and how I would like to grow. Enjoy!
Purpose
1. The purpose of my life is to be a burning presence of love and light do the work of God for myself and others
2. I will journey on an intense discipleship program to broaden my perspective and discover my unique skills and passions, so then I can narrow my focus on my specific kingdom calling in order to create a massive impact in the Kingdom of God on Earth

– Through the World Race, my team and I will travel to 11 countries in 11 months to serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and help bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.

– I will grow in my knowledge and understanding of God’s word; really dive into, meditate on, and adopt the word into every aspect of my life
– I will deepen my relationship with Christ to where I know Him fully and He knows me fully, and I can step into His presence at any moment

– I will be completely immersed in the Word of Christ for 11 months without the distractions of modern society, so I can rapidly grow into a servant who is not as driven by significance and materialistic things, but driven by the voice of God
– In order to become the leader God has chosen me to be on this journey and for the rest of my life, I will serve at my highest capacity in this immersive environment to grow and give more in 11 months than I have in the 21 years of my life thus far
emotional fortitude
– As I deepen my relationship with Christ my darkest limiting beliefs will dissolve, and, through this intensive discipleship program, I will begin to create the foundational patterns and beliefs for my mind, body, and soul that align with my ultimate destiny
– As I am continually forced out of my comfort zone, I will forge an emotional elasticity where, no matter how difficult the trial I face, my faith remains unwavering, my eyes remain on Jesus, and my actions are no longer guided by fear for I have absolute certainty in His never-ending strength and overwhelming grace
extraordinary relationships
– I will strengthen my ability to connect, communicate, and build authentic relationships with people from all walks of life
– In order to create a circle of influence that is centered around Christ and that fuels each other to become who we are called to be, I will develop extraordinary relationships with my squad through amazing experiences
God willing, I know I will accomplish these goals because I’ve never been more in tune with God and His purpose for me, I’ve never had the depth and heart behind my goals that I do now, I’ve never had the guidance, knowledge, skills, experiences, and perspective that I do at this moment, and I’ve never had this many opportunities at my fingertips.
