I bet you were all wondering what this title actually meant. Well now you’re already here, so might as well read the whole blog 🙂

However, this title does fit in with what I am going to write about. My team and I have been reading through the book of Matthew together, and God actually told me to write a sermon the other day based off of Matthew 14: 22-33. I started writing it and had a rough draft finished in about an hour and a half. I have never had that happen before when writing a sermon, so I started doubting myself and my ability to write. I reread the sermon and thought dang, who the heck is this for? And I heard, “it’s for you. This is what you need to hear.” You see that story is the story of Jesus walking on water. I’m very familiar with the passage so I was like cool,  I know about that. Then I heard in my head, “you know about it but do you actually believe it? Are you living this whole passage out in your life?” See, part of that story also talks about Peter walking with Jesus back to the boat. The wind didn’t die down until Peter and Jesus got back into the boat. So often, I try to weather my own storms by my self. I don’t invite Jesus into the storm. Sometimes He calls me out onto the water, and I don’t let him get back into my boat with me. I think it’s good to go out on the water, but not even Jesus stayed on the water. He got back in the boat with Peter. And he wants to get back in our boats with us.

See, I was expecting big things to happen this month. I was like, heck ya, ATL(ask the Lord), dang we’re gonna see miracles, salvations, miraculous signs. I was so hyped on the big picture I was missing out on the little picture. This month so far, I’ve made a lot of friendships. I’ve talked to a lot of people. Some of them I talked about Jesus with, some of them I didn’t. Some of them I laughed with, some of them I didn’t. But through it all, there was one universal language I wanted to represent, and that was love. In doing this, I began to understand Papas heart better about ministry. That ministry is life and life is ministry. I’ve heard that said many times before, but I am literally living like the disciples did. Moving from city to city, spreading the gospel/love of Jesus. And it’s been so freaking cool. I’ve learned so much. I’m so grateful to have not only my team, but also team Tercules with me to help pour into me and point me back to Christ. People like Ryan, like Abby, like Cody, like colter, like Shiloh, like Alex, these people have pointed me back to the father and have encouraged me every single step of the way. We call ourselves the herd. The herd is amazing. The herd is brave. The herd is obedient. The herd is ready. We’re expecting great things. I am expecting.

i am currently still 5000 short of my financial goal when is the end of January.
