Most weeks of the World Race include 5 days of ministry/work, 1 day of Sabbath, and an adventure day. This week’s adventure day included a 1 hour hike up an active volcano and then sledding down the volcano. I fell off about half way and thought I’d open my eyes and be on the other side eternity! After a few minutes of laying on my back, I managed to find the board, get back on and then keep sledding down at a slowish pace. While I was doing it, I felt like was flying down, but I learned later from our guide that I was only going at a slowish pace.

This was one of the scariest things I’ve ever done, but this whole 11 month adventure with Jesus is teaching me that I have nothing to fear with Him right by my side. Since I got the 2nd slowest time of the group, I got a bucket of ice water poured on my head. It was one crazy day. Just another day on this World Race adventure!

Happy Easter! Happy Resurrection Day! It’s the day we celebrate that Jesus raised Himself from the grave after being brutally and unjustly crucified. Because of His sacrifice, we can have relationship with the Father and can live life more abundantly! Hallelujah! He is risen! Risen indeed!

In courageous faith and for His glory alone,

Sharon
