Dear Family and Friends:

As many of you know, I traveled to Guatemala this past October with Adventures in Missions. Since that experience and even before, God has been growing and teaching me in many ways, not the least of which has been a call toward missions. Now, in this New Year, I am excited to announce that the next trip the Lord has laid on my heart is called the World Race. Most of you know, I love running and training for marathons, so what a name! The World Race! Well, the Lord is leading me to do this different kind of race. The World Race is one where I will definitely need endurance and complete reliance on Him. Lord willing, beginning in October, my team and I will travel to 11 different countries, serving and spreading the good news of Jesus. We will stay in each country for approximately 1 month.

Through the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations. I will face many challenges all throughout the World Race, but as I prepare for my departure, one of my greatest challenges is my financial support.

Like most missions organizations, World Race participants are required to fundraise financial support. This money will cover all of my field expenses for the 11 months of the trip, including the training camp in August, and beginning October all transportation, lodging, food, and medical insurance. As I take this large step of faith in trusting the Lord, would you prayerfully consider joining me at a monthly or one-time amount?

I am so humbled and thankful and excited for this opportunity and this door that God has opened, but I cannot follow through this call to missions alone. I would really appreciate however you can support both through prayer and if you can financially as well. Also be on the lookout for some fundraising events I will host this summer.

I am very excited about how God will use me and what He will teach me through this trip! I pray that I will not only be a blessing to those I serve, but to you as well. Please partner with me in prayer and financially via the donate button.

You can also keep up to date on my journey by subscribing to the blog.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

In courageous faith and for His glory alone,

Sharon
