How many times do we go about our days and not even acknowledge our Father or ask Him how He wants us to spend our day? How many hours have I wasted just sitting doing nothing rather than spending time growing in the Word and finding intimacy with Christ? How many times do I only do what I want to do rather than seeking the Father in every situation to ask for discernment?
Too dang many.
Revelation 3:15-16
“I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will sit you out of my mouth.”
1 John 2:15-16
“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world- the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions-is not from the Father but is from the world.”
God does not want lukewarm. He does not want you to be for Him while still continuing to seek the world. He would rather have you completely cold. We cannot be all for the Lord and still filling our desires with things of this world. Every waking moment needs to be fixed on the Father if we want to be ALL in.
I’m tired of filling my schedule with everything I can but also doing nothing at the same time. I’m tired of wasting my time on things that don’t add value or glory to the Kingdom. I’m ready to fall on my knees at any moment of free time, desiring only the Father and having full contentment in what He has for me. The world cannot do that. And it’s time to stop wasting my time and be all in. Every moment.
