Its really easy to get into the routine of things and lose sight of what your main purpose is. As a follower of Christ, your life purpose should be to glorify him in all that you do and spread the good news of the gospel.

Since being on the race, life ends up getting pretty mundane if you stay in the same place for more than a month. I’m tired and worn out, sometimes really dislike my ministry and am ready to move on to the next best thing.

But the Lord continually speaks to me that he has placed me here for a reason. Being one of the few Christians at the Buddhist school that I’m serving at comes with some challenges. But I firmly believe He has placed me in this specific place at this specific time for a reason. Maybe I am the one light of Jesus that these kids will experience. So I am going to give it all I have and love them like Jesus would. I am going to trust in Him regardless of if I know what my purpose here is.

So whether you are burnt out on your job or just tired of doing the same thing every single day realize that the Lord has you in this season for a specific reason. If you’ve been asking God for a new job for years and still find yourself in the same spot hating what you are doing, use this season to grow in what the Lord has placed you there to do. Instead of asking God for things, ask God

What do you want to do through me today? Who can I love really well today? How can I serve you today?”

Maybe you are the only Christian in your workplace and the Lord wants to use you to love your co-workers and share the goodness of the Father with them. Sometimes waiting for something that seems so much better gets really discouraging but God knows what is best for us so much greater than we think we know. His timing is perfect, so if you have been waiting on a new opportunity and sick of this season, recognize that He has you here at this time for a reason and when he wants you to move on to something else, He will make it happen. Maybe He wants to use this season to instill peace, patience or trust in you. Be intentional with the season you’re in and use every moment to glorify God. It might not make sense in the moment but later on you’ll find so much purpose in it.

Colossians 3:23

“Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically as something done for the Lord and not for men.”

John 15:6
