Hello! My name is Sarah and I want to begin by thanking you for taking the time to read this. I grew up in Gray Maine as an only child on a farm with chickens, pigs, ducks, horses, and dogs. I love all animals from creepy spiders to huge elephants! From a young age I have always been active. I love horseback riding, competitive running, hiking, skiing, and I also sing and play piano. I’m all about the outdoors and my most favorite place to be is on top of a mountain where you can overlook everything yet it feels like absolutely nothing can touch you.
God has always been a part of my life but not until a little over a year ago did He become first in my life. Through my church’s mission trips I became closer and closer with God and began a real relationship with Him, letting his glorious light fill my life. Ever since then I have felt like God has placed missions on my heart. When I discovered the World race I could not think of anything more perfectly suited for me and through much prayer I felt God really wanted me to pursue this.
I cannot express my excitement to have the chance to share God’s love and message to the world and to leave all of my comforts behind to become fully dependent on Him. I know God will use the next year to transform my life to grow and deepen my faith, and I want to invite you to be a part of it whether it be financially or in prayer. This journey is not only mine but for those reading and my prayer is that you will be inspired and deepened in your own faith by seeing how God works in my life.
