Coming into the World Race one of the things I was most nervous about was having to raise $18,600 in support. The number seemed so daunting and I thought there is no way I can raise this money. However, I decided that despite my fears I was going to trust the Lord completely with fundraising. The Lord has an unlimited storehouse and I just needed to trust that he would provide. AND HE DID!!
I have to give Him full credit for the fact that I raised full support because on my own I would not have been able to do it. He showed up and answered my prayers in so many different ways. During this process I began to pray extremely specific prayers. One day I prayed “Lord I would love a $1000 donation” and that same day my mom texted me and told me that one friend who originally committed to $500 decide to give $1000 instead. Man that blew me away. God literally answered my exact prayer in THE SAME DAY!
It is so crazy to me that something that seemed so impossible at first was made possible because we serve a good, loving Father who desires to provide for his children.
I would also like to thank every single person who has donated and supported me. This trip would not have been made possible without the friends and family who have given financially as well as provided unconditional love and emotional support.
