I’ve been reading the book of Acts, and recently the Holy Spirit pointed out something that occurred 3 times in the same reading… the works of God were shared/told to other believers and they rejoiced and were encouraged 😀
I don’t know about you but I’ve been hearing way more negative news than good over the last several months. Even from other believers :/ I am glad that I don’t watch the news and that I deleted all of social media (one update since my last blog). The word says that anxiety causes depression, but a good word makes it glad. When I read in the book of Acts about the believers talking and sharing again and again about the works of God, I thought “Oh, how amazing that would be if we did that today! How encouraging and uplifting that would be!” I admit I have been feeling discouraged and a little depressed lately, and have even allowed the evil going on in the world to take over my thoughts more than anything.
It’s time we stop focusing on the problems and start talking about our good God and Savior 😀 Because He is the same today and always will be! He is still good, He is still loving, He is still merciful, He is still full of grace and favor toward us, He is still in control, and He still has plans for us and works that He has made beforehand for us to walk in.
So I would like to take this time to share some things that have been encouraging to me lately! 😀 I hope you can make a list yourself and share them with others also.
1. The night before Thanksgiving I had a dream about the rapture and it was amazing!! 😀 I will share it on a separate blog soon!! Hopefully!
2. The ACLJ has been landing some pretty huge victories against abortion at the court level! 😀
3. A big pornography company/website was recently exposed for having a ridiculous amount of illegal content which has gotten worldwide media attention and resulted in… major credit card companies terminating their services on that site, government action against the company – which also resulted in the company removing their ‘download’ button, and nearly 75% of their video collection!!
4. The Lord is still saving people and working on His children and blessing them 😀
5. I still have a place to live and food to eat. Many do not, and some are REALLY struggling. God is still the best provider and I know He will help them – but we need to be praying about giving what we have for them also.
Some updates since my last blog…
1. I deleted ALL social media
2. I am now working full time instead of part time
3. I started taking voice acting lessons 🙂 I meet with my coach online once a week. Through a fall promotion I was able to get on an affordable payment plan.
4. Yesterday at work I said good bye to an employee whom it happened to be his last day (I wouldn’t have known if the Lord didn’t lead me to say goodbye), and it turns out he is a brand new Christian! 😀 (maybe 2-3 months) So we exchanged numbers and hopefully we can meet up. Lord willing.
5. I have been wondering where I could get some good mexican food over here, and through that same employee I found out about a guy here who makes some amazing tacos! hehe
6. I am praying about possibly starting a weekly online fellowship specifically to give others a chance to share about what the Lord is doing – which I would also really love to hear and see their facial expressions! 😀
