So starting off our time in Cambodia the Lord glorified Himself through a sandwich π I didn’t have much money for food, but I was confident the Lord would provide for me. I prayed and then a sister offered me a piece of bacon without knowing my situation. I told her about it and my prayer, and then right after that a different sister gave me a whole sandwich she didn’t want π The first sister I talked to was blessed and encouraged by seeing this happen, knowing my situation and prayer. Praise the Lord for blessing and strengthening not only me through this provision, but one of His daughters also!
During our time of debrief we also got new teams to work with π I got 4 new sisters and one less brother. We also had the blessing of doing an ATL month in Cambodia, which the Lord led us to do night ministry at a big outdoor market every night. It was such a great place to do ministry as there were many tourists from around the world in different places in life.
Aside from sharing the gospel and praying for some, we even came across some Cambodian Christians that we got to pray for π I met a man named Chisan who had no hands but loves the Lord. We met him right after talking to a woman with a little boy named Petran, who was born with a deformed head. Chisan saw us talking to them and got our attention right after. Another Christian we met was a carriage driver who had scripture all over his.
For Valentine’s Day I was able to lead our team into a time of praising the Lord for His love, and praying for each other. It was such a blessing to be able to pray and be prayed over by each person on this new team π We were all blessed. Later in the day the girls surprised us guys with gelato and a speed dating session. It was so much fun π We took pictures by a restaurant that had loud music playing next to it as part of a Valentine’s Day celebration. As we left we started dancing amongst ourselves and next thing we know there is a large group of people from all over surrounding us and dancing with us as well! It was such an amazing thing as we (complete strangers) were all dancing and having fun together and cheering each other on π
One weekend my team got to go to Phnom Penh. A few awesome things happened there. One day we went for a walk and we got to pray for a young man we met at an abandoned house that he was staying at and did drugs there, we also went into a Christian church we found and got to meet the pastors wife and a few other women and we prayed for them – which they were blessed by, and on the way back to where we were staying we found a sweat shop so we prayed over all the workers inside.
The month ended with the Lord showing His knowledge and kindness toward me, once again by His provisions that this time I did not even ask for π There were a pair of pants I bought and someone had left behind a matching pair that they didn’t want. I picked them up, thinking that maybe someone would want them… but I tried them on and they actually got a lot better than the ones I had π How well the Lord knows me that He would provide a better fit of pants for me π There was 3 other items left behind that the Lord knew I could use; one of them being something I actually needed. One of those things was an 8 liter bag… I had a 5L bag used to put laundry in, so now I have a bigger one π Another thing was a mosquito net which I may need for Africa. I forgot i had one but didn’t realize after getting another one that the original one was too big. Again, the Lord knew the right size I needed π I needed a new pillow as the cotton I had was all worn out. The Lord provided a different one. An inflatable one, which is great because it takes up less space and it’s adjustable π
God is so good. He knows you intimately; more than you may know or believe or think π When you need something, ask Him. When you need direction and guidance, ask Him. Trust Him to do such things when you ask… for He says that whatever you ask in His name (according to His heart, mind, and will) He will do it π
