Belize

  • Met at least 2 locals that work there that are originally from North America. Perfect English.
  • Went through the inside of a Mayan cave.
  • Did six zip lines through rain forest, in the rain.
  • Got a tour of a police station (including surveillance room) where we did ministry – cells, kids program, troubled youth, encouraging the officers.
  • Met/got to know many in the city, prayed for some, brought some to the Lord , and He may have even healed one or two of them. He is so amazing! πŸ˜€
  • Did a lock in for the youth of a local church.

Honduras

  • I lived with 36 others in one house for a month. I slept outside in a tent πŸ™‚
  • Did ministry at an orphanage
  • Saw two Macaws up close
  • Held a toucan
  • Went to a coffee bean plantation
  • Got our ears screamed off by a parrot named ‘Paco’

El Salvador

  • The pupusas are awesome
  • Hiked to the top of an active volcano (highest in the country) and ate a popsicle up there
  • Went to a water park where I played soccer on a field, enjoyed it, and made my first goal ever in my life. Also went down the highest and steepest water slide in the country.
  • Fireworks are very common here around Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Apparently even home made ones πŸ™‚ They almost literally “blow you away”
  • Pretty sure I got a parasite, or a few. Feeling a lot better now πŸ™‚
  • Got to see parts of markets that tourists probably wouldn’t know are there.
  • Got share my testimony and a message about the armor of God to the kids at the church here, shared a message about God’s economy to the congregation, got to be here for their first message posted online.
  • Prayed for people in a near by hospital

All Three

  • Been able to drink water straight out of a fresh picked coconut a few times. It’s super good!
  • Loved walking in sandals everyday (my whole life I’ve worn shoes or boots… mostly boots)
  • In every country I was thought to have been a local by an actual local (they thought I was from there). Even at the border crossings! LOL! I probably could have gotten away with a few things – like entrance fee discounts at some places. One person thought that I could have been from Guatemala (I’ve never been there)
  • My Spanish has gotten kind of decent! (compared to not knowing anything, haha) I’m actually kind of getting a little confident.
