And, a few shots of our new home…. FRUTILLAR, CHILE!!!
It is in the Patagonia region of Chile, has authentic, homemade, and delicious food, has a beautiful lake and an active volcano (amidst an intense and snowy mountain range), has black sand beaches and German architecture, and is full of incredible people (and dogs):

This adventure has already been crazy and beautiful. We’ve had thousands of dollars of things stolen (during travel), and seen places / met people that are absolutely priceless. I’ve already taught English to children in schools, and to adults who have never learned a word of English before. I read a Bible story (The Good Samaritan) in Spanish to a youth group at church today. We’ve had police escorts and loved on kids in the foster system. I have been asked to teach a 7th grade class the value of volunteering next week. We even adopted a dog for a night. We named him Roscoe.

Chile, you are insanely cool… it is the middle of winter here…

My team is amazing, my leadership is amazing, and I’m absolutely loving serving the Chilean people. We have just under three weeks left in Frutillar, and I couldn’t be happier to be with Jesus in this smoky, exotic, breathtaking place.
