The hands and feet of Jesus, to be the hands and feet of the one who not only spoke the world into existence but who’s own hands fashioned us.

I was reading one of those devotional plans on the Bible app not to long ago and they spoke about the hands and feet of Jesus. I honestly can’t remember what they were speaking about but those six words stayed with me. The hands and feet of Jesus.

What I do remember is just sitting there and letting those words replay in my head. The hands and feet of Jesus. I looked at my own hands and stared at them. In that moment I couldn’t help but imagine God’s hands right beside mine and in that instant I knew they were. As I continued to inspect my hands three words wove themselves to the refrain already in my head. “The hands and feet of Jesus. Love. Peace. Hope. The hands and feet of Jesus. Love. Peace. Hope.” I felt my hands shiver all over and then it was over.

I continued to just sit there contemplating on being the hands and feet of Jesus. Thinking on all the people who I will encounter and meet while being on the World Race. Thinking how much I long to share with them God’s love, peace, and hope. Then I stared to see the faces of all the kids I work with on a daily basis. I started to see the faces of friends, acquaintances, and even faces that I have never seen before.

The hands and feet of Jesus. Love. Peace. Hope. The hands and feet of Jesus. Love. Peace. Hope.

How will you be my hands and feet now? How will you show my love, peace, and hope now?

A simple and powerful reminder that we are to be his hands and feet everywhere we go. Even if it is just down the street or your house. So the question is how will you be his hands and feet?
