If you can’t give something away, then it owns you.
Whatever it is that you can’t live without, that is the very thing that defines your life. It’s your master, your god, and your value. If you NEED your job, your career, your sport, movies, food, or whatever comes to mind, then you’re imprisoned.
You cant pursue and adventure, because your hanging on to the safety rope, that inadvertently is the thing chaining you to your grave here on earth, instead of the throne room in heaven.
Stop holding onto a happiness, that will only be achieved with money, sex, or pride. Let go of the accomplishments that you don’t actually care about. Why are you letting other people tell you how much you’re worth? And letting the likes you get on social media dictate your self esteem?
Live with Christ, who gives you infinite value. Live with his Church, who sees that you are invaluable. Be that church. Stop trying to build yourself a home, Christ has invited you into his. Into a family where there is no duty, but into a family where there is joy in life. Following Christ isn’t about obligation. You can’t earn it. It’s a new life that changes what you know to be of value.
A life where you’re happy to be alive. Happy because each day, you need no supplement for joy. Your joy was achieved on that day that Christ was crucified so that we could spend eternity with him in heaven.
Let go of what you think is yours. The thing that owns you. You can be owned by Christ. A father with out limits. His domain is eternal. Be a child of the one true king.
