Hello my framily!

On the race, one thing has become clear to me.  Our God is an intentional God.  He orchestrates, plans and fulfills His purposes for His glory.  AND He invites us into this story He is creating.

Tonight our team went out into the city center for outreach.  (This month kinda feels like Ask The Lord month because of the loose guidance we have received.)  So we started out with doing a prayer walk.

A prayer walk is walking intentionally in prayer. (Lol do like my definition?) Becca and I were partnered together and we walked and prayed out loud for whatever came to our minds.

We walked by a school so we lifted that school up in prayer.  We saw a family and prayed for guidance and peace in that family.  It was so good.  During this God reminded me that even if I don’t see the results, my prayers matter.

Later, Becca and I again were partnered to walk and pray with the intention of talking with people.  We had talked to a couple of people, then had about 15 more minutes before the end.  At this point, we were ready to be done.  We were so tempted to quit and sit.

So we stopped, sat down and prayed.  I remember praying specifically that our last 15 minutes would be glorifying to God and that He would direct our path.

About five seconds after saying amen, two young girls sat down next to us.  I asked them what the building was in front of us and then we proceeded to have a conversation the rest of our time.

It was so amazing!  Prayer changed our mindsets and allowed us to be used for His glory.  Those last 15 minutes could have been wasted but when we prayed it allowed Him to do GREAT things.

So my dear framily, I urge you to be intentional in prayer.  Pray for specific people, go on a walk and pray for each person you see.  Pray for God to change your city.  Prayer matters and no prayer or person is too small to make a difference.

James 5:16 “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect.”
