Growing up I never really had to need for anything. We weren’t wealthy, but as far as I knew we never went without. My mom would sacrifice of herself so that my brother and I never knew how poor we were. After my Mom married the man who would become my Dad things got better, but he worked in the oilfield and we missed out on him getting to be around. However my mom created an environment of love and security so as far as we boys knew we were some of the richest people around. We were taught the value of working hard and that nothing came free you had to earn it. It wasn’t until I was an adult that my mom started to admit that times were tough. When I was in the hospital with leukemia and my brother with severe asthma she leaned hard on God to take care of her. When my biological father left and she had to do it on her own she leaned hard on God then too.

God will always provide for those who seek Him, not just for the tough times but everyday seek His grace love and mercy. God is our heavenly father and He loves His children, He wants to provide His children all our needs but we have to be willing to ask Him and to be right with Him.

In the recent weeks I have been relearning this valuable lesson. The truth about the amount of money I need to raise, the weight I need to loose and still take care of the day to day business of life has been getting a little hard to grasp. It’s easy to say “God will provide” but having the faith that He will takes true character of grace. I thank all of you who having been praying for him and have given financially; you are rays of hope in my life. God will provide all my needs and He will provide all of your needs as well. You just simply need to seek Him and ask and be faithful to His will.

The video below is a short sermon on this very topic and let me be real with you it rocked me to my core.
