hey friends!
a few weeks ago, thailand celebrated the thai new year with songkran, & we did too!
Songkran is a 3(ish) day, countrywide water festival where you gear up with your water gun & floral shirt and just walk around town having fun!! here’s a little video that avery and i put together! hope you enjoy:)
also, some updates!
– tomorrow night at midnight my squad leaves for myanmar, our final country! it is so so crazy to believe we are actually in month 9!
– we finished ministry at the wildflower home in the best way, with some thai snowcones and lots of soap-making! our whole team will really miss that place a lot
– we went to Chaing Dao last weekend for Easter to spend the day with the boys and got to hangout with the kids at their orphanage and celebrate their very first easter with them! the day was filled with worship, the stations of the cross put on by the boys, some games, and lots of love!
& prayer requests:
– for our team (& squad) to stay present in myanmar as the race is coming to an end so quickly
– for a safe travel day and no issues with passports & visas
– continued health and no trips to the doctors in our final month!
– that the lord will protect us and use us to serve His kingdom in a country that doesn’t know much about Him
– that we are able to pour out so much love and hope to the people of Myanmar
thank you thank you for your prayers & support and continuing to read my blogs after all this time! please feel free to share it with others or reach out if there is anything on your heart to share with me! love, melina
