Wow, this team.
God really knew what He was doing when He put us together. I remember at training camp when they put us into our teams, we opened our eyes after wandering the room making animal noises and all I felt was complete peace. We had been so anxious about who was going to be in our teams, if we were going to get along and just to be anxious honestly…it was scary. But then, all of a sudden it wasn’t. These women were now my teammates. My family. My sisters.
Throughout the past 3.5 months we have stepped into sisterhood and transparency beyond what I’ve ever done. It isn’t easy, we don’t always agree but we ALWAYS choose each other.
How beautiful community is when you choose each other daily.
With the coming of team changes, I want to honor my team and each member. So here is a little of what I’ve learned about each new sister on team Fiercely Loved.
AbbyLin.
Abby is a firecracker! She is sassy and witty. But beyond that I have learned that Abby loves people. She is loyal and she has her own special way of showing love. She is thoughtful and when you tell her something, she remembers without fail. Abby always brings us back to the surface and is so good at bringing up the tough stuff within the team…she brings the fire! She has deep thoughts and goes to the Lord for everything…she’s always the 1st to ask if you’ve gone to the Lord with a struggle. So faithful.
From AbbyLin I have learned a lot about deep, quiet intimacy with the Lord and a different ways that can look. I have also learned a lot about the SASS! 🙂
Jenny.
J Mama is kind. She is always making sure that everyone is included and part of what we’re doing. She has a heart of sacrifice and servanthood and is the 1st to offer up help where help may be needed. She is a leader, a quiet leader. She brings a peace to our team and when she speaks up, you want to listen. On top of that she cooks. Dang can she cook (and BAKE!)! We have been so thankful for her servants heart and her exceptional cooking skills.
From J Mama I have learned about selfless, sacrificial service. It is definitely something I want to step into more just as Jenny does.
Suze.
Wild Suze. We always joke that Suze is the hippie of our team…she’s not really but she’s definitely the most hippie of all of us. She is so bold and she brings an immense amount of joy to our team. She brings encouragement, comfort and peace to the team while still bring fun and so unique. Being around Suze brings a calm to my soul, she is kind, thoughtful and so intuitive. She will be the 1st to notice if something is off and won’t just let it slide by, she asks and asks and asks.
From Suze I have learned to cut loose a little…be a little extra silly and don’t let things get pushed under the rug.
Cami.
Cam Cam, our Ohio lover. Cam keeps such a good balance of fun and serious. She loves to be silly and bring out the goofy side but she knows when it’s time to be serious. She loves well and like Suze she is intuitive and knows when something is wrong…and she presses in. She is wise and always brings a ‘God’ perspective to what we’re talking about. She is so in tune with the Holy Spirit and trusts what He says to her and follows it.
From Cam I have learned to listen. To listen to the voice of the Spirit and press in to what He says.
Brook.
Bok Choy. We love the baby of our team! Early on she got the nickname Bok and we’ve called her that ever since. She brings a fun, outgoing, contagious youthfulness to our team that is so valuable! She always has energy and drive to do something else to serve and goes all the way with service. She thinks of others and is always the 1st to volunteer when theres a dirty job to be done. She is one big muscle and uses her strength to help our team. She presses into the Lord and seeing her worship is one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen.
From Bok I have learned to press into worship in new ways. To worship with abandon and that it looks different for everyone.
This is my team. These are the women I’ve done life with (well just a little about them). I love them. They love me. I couldn’t have placed myself in a better team for my 1st team and I’m so glad the Lord chose and not me…He is so good, so sovereign and He just KNOWS what we need.
I love you, sisters.
