This evening marks the beginning of the Jewish new year, also known as Rosh Hashanah, which extends from the evening of September 9th until September 11th. Although I know very little about Jewish holidays and traditions, it is something I have such a great interest in, especially since traveling to Israel over 2 years ago. God gave me a new perspective on the Old Testament and it came alive for me after visiting Biblical sites all over the nation of Israel.
Rosh Hashanah is the time when the Jewish people celebrate the beginning of a new year; the day dedicated as the beginning of the universe and the day God created mankind. A day of new beginnings. I hope to have the opportunity to study Jewish holidays more as they give so much insight into the traditions done by the old covenant Hebrew people.
With that said, I am so excited to be starting this new year in my life and I want you to be a part of it! So tomorrow, on the Jewish new year, September 10th, I am doing a $10 fundraiser for my mission trip to help me in starting this new beginning in my life and my journey with the Lord! From midnight to midnight on Monday I ask that you visit my blog and donate $10, email or message me, or Venmo at @Megan-Gabrielse. I am excited for this new year and I ask that you join with me with just $10 or whatever gift you feel led to give!
P.S. By giving up just [2] Starbucks drinks you can donate $10 and support me and be a part of something that will be eternal!
