In all honesty, I don’t even know where to begin with this blog post. I’d originally planned to post blogs along with my vlogs as a way to take you through training camp, but I think that whole idea—at least how I see it in my head—will have to wait for later. So, putting that idea to the side for now, I’m going to take this blog to talk about my squadmates!
(vlogs included in this post)
Being in the halfway point with training camp, I was finally getting used to the people surrounding me. I was warming up to this group of strangers that I now call my other family. There probably aren’t enough proper words to describe how amazing they are. In a world where we live the social-media-lifestyle where everything is perfect—but not really—they’re the most genuine people I have come across, which I still think is the biggest surprise. I was so used to knowing people who say one thing and do the complete opposite, which often times just hurt others. My squad (and most likely everyone else on the other two squads) did not give off those vibes.
At this point in the week, we’ve all seen each other cry (seriously, I bawled my eyes out every single day) and we’ve had God speak and move through us in ways we weren’t even prepared for.
The fact that I will be traveling the world with these amazing people and spreading God’s love to countless strangers is one of the most nerve-wracking yet exciting things I’ve ever had to prepare for!!!
