The past couple months I have spent A LOT of time trying to figure out my life after the world race. This has been extremely stressful and not real enjoyable. I thought I knew what it was the Lord had for me but then the door would shut right in my face. I knew I still had time but was growing frustrated not knowing what was next. For the last couple years, I have known what I was stepping into and now not knowing was killing me. Well, a few weeks ago a door opened to me and it was clear that this was PERFECT for what I was looking to do after the race.
Before I left home, I found out about Kate. Kate went on the World Race in 2018, got home in November/December and then came back in January to be our squad leader. I thought she was crazy. Who would want to leave home for a year just to leave again as soon as she got home? Well, when I met Kate, I learned that she was sane. Kate was just obedient to what the Lord was calling her to do. Kate inspired me a ton this year and is an inspiration as I take a huge step into what the Lord is calling me towards in this next season.
A few weeks ago, my squad mentor, Kylee, asked me to consider coming back to squad lead for Semesters. Before the race I would have laughed at this but now I had a different reaction. I was excited. As soon as she mentioned this, I knew it was for me. Semesters is a mini World Race for 18-22-year-olds. If anyone knows me, you know that students and young adults are where I am most comfortable. You would also know that I absolutely love mission work. I only dreamed on how I would combine my two passions, but that dream is now a reality. In January, I will get to lead a group of young adults as they take on the world and share the love of Jesus.
I am super excited but also extremely nervous. I have about 6 weeks between when I get home and when I leave. I already have a ton of stuff planned for the time between Thanksgiving, Christmas, Passion, and PSL. I also need to fundraise and find a job so I can afford this trip. I know that this is from the Lord and He will provide like He did abundantly this year. If you are interested in partnering with me in this just subscribe so you get emails when I start fundraising.
