My mornings here in Serbia are full of more prayer than ever before. I have my quiet time followed by team prayer and to wrap it all up both teams go out on a prayer walk.

So what is a prayer walk exactly?? (This ones for you Mom!)

Well it looks different everyday for every person. The overall purpose of it is to cover the city in prayer. We typically split up into twos or threes and then head off in all directions.

Prayers can be about anything and everything such as:

  • The people we meet
  • The people we are going to meet
  • The buildings we are passing by
  • The city (leaders, businesses, schools, etc.)
  • The youth
  • The barriers that are keeping Jesus name from spreading
  • Provision and protection
  • The ministries here
  • Safety
  • Revival
  • And so much more!

Each day 13 of us walk around Sombor for about an hour and a half. We are going to have walked countless miles around this city by the end of this month. I am praying that as we walk it is not just our feet going but that we are bringing the presence of God to every street and corner. I see it as preparing the soil in the city for what is coming!

As a friend always says “prayer is not the preparation for a greater work, it is the greater work”

much love,
