On Friday afternoon, February 9, 2018, I was sitting in my car when I received a phone call that rocked my world. I had just been accepted to go on the World Race in October! I could not believe it! It’s official, in October I will be leaving America for 11 months to partner with ministries and churches around the world! WHAT?!

As I drove home in this overwhelming state of excitement and disbelief I turned up the tunes and celebrated with the Lord. The first song that came on was “The Greatest Show” from the movie “The Greatest Showman”. This song has always pumped me up but listening to it under these circumstances I was on another level. I’m sure if anyone looked into my car that day it was quite a sight to see.

As I was jamming out, the lyrics started to hold a whole new meaning.

“Oh, this is the greatest show,

Where its covered in all the colored lights

Where the runaways are running the night

Impossible comes true, its taking over you

Oh, this is the greatest show

We light it up we won’t come down

And the walls can’t stop us now

I’m watching it come true, it’s taking over you

Oh, this is the greatest show”

Could it be that we are a part of The GREATEST Show because we are the children of the GREATEST Showman?!

Think about it. P.T. Barnum (the main character) is known for inventing the greatest show on earth. He changed the way people thought because he believed everyone was a star. This is exactly how God sees all His children. He loves and adores each one of us. He would go to the ends of the world for us. In fact, He DID go to the end of the world for us. He went to Hell and back for us! God has been putting on The Greatest Show of all time since before we ever existed.

What is even more mind-boggling? God continually invites us to be a part of His show even though He doesn’t need us. He can create an award-winning production all on His own, but He wants us. He sees us all as stars!

The World Race is going to require me to step into roles I have never held before. I am both thrilled and terrified by this, but God knows me better than I know myself. He has given each of us different talents and passions fit for the unique roles He has planned. Whether it is in the United States or abroad, with friends or strangers God is inviting each of us into a specific role in The GREATEST Show. The question is, do we trust Him enough to say yes?

God knows you.

God created you.

God has the perfect roles for you (even when you can’t see it)!

Much Love!
