My friend Andrew recently told me, “Malysa, you’re gonna bring freedom to a lot of people and I can’t wait to watch you do that.”

I have been home for 60 days & this is what they have looked like ๐Ÿ™‚

A couple plane rides with a few more in sight. A long car ride to Oklahoma with friends, for friends… to find MORE friends for a reunion in Georgia. There was a weekend in Waco Tx. ๐Ÿ™‚ There have been elongated hours of sleep in my bed.

                                             *Selah* *pause*

lots of those moments but not enough.

Late nights catching up on This is Us with 2 of my favorite women, a new bible study with new faces and a bible study with a very, very familiar face & not enough writing. But LOTS of walks, lots of stretching & cleaning and sorting. Rearranging of various types & some babysitting sprinkled in the mix of it all. This has been life for 2 months and in another 2 months, just as full as the ones I’ve described to you, I will be up & out again ๐Ÿ™‚ I am pleased and excited to say that I hold the privilege of getting to go on the field with Adventures in Missions, again, as a Team Leader with a group that is preparing to go on their own World Race!! I am actually on a flight now back from Georgia where I met them at their training camp. They are beautiful and hold a special place in my heart already.

As a Team Leader I will travel with them to Indonesia and Malaysia, functioning as their training wheels for the first 2 months before Team Leads are selected and raised up from the squad.

The team leader is responsible for communicating directly with the ministry host, keeping up with weekly team duties (blogging, bible study, etc.) and primarily, setting the culture for their team. What does this team care deeply about? What does this team need that I can give them? How can I be interceding on their behalf on an individual and team level? What are our values, and goals? What are their desires while on the World Race and beyond?

My World Race woke me up to my potential on so many levels. I learned that I really can do all things through Christ Jesus. I can preach to the homeless. The sick, the imprisoned- people I have little to nothing in common with. I can facilitate worship for a crowd of 40 and more. With Jesus Christ I can live an out- of -left -field life as a missionary where, my sleeping situation changed at least twice a month for 11 months straight. I can give and receive feedback that gets to the heart of things and develops my character. I learned about MYSELF and what truly brings me joy and peace. About what I do and don’t need and what I’m just fine and more than fine, doing without. I learned how to daydream my life with Holy Spirit and watched my daydreams grow bigger.

It gives me butterflies to know that I will get to take part in this process for someone else. Doing this will develop me as a leader and communicator and, I am trusting, will give me a platform and space to live out that prophetic word over my life, “You’re gonna bring Freedom to others.”. I love God a lot for trusting me to do and it seems that He is actively equipping me for it.

On January 5th I will be in Gainesville, Georgia receiving specific training for this task and then from there I will launch with C Squad to Indonesia then Malaysia!! Thank you for reading, for caring and for praying. If you desire to support me financially, it costs $3,200 for me to do the thing and you can donate at my home page of this blog by clicking “donate”. Thank you again!! You are amazing and a child of God, now go act like it.
