My time in Myanmar has been short, but fulfilling. Next week we will leave for another month in Thailand and then to Africa. Ever since I arrived I felt an urgency here and on my own life. The first week I was here he revealed to me that there’s an urgency for the Gospel in Myanmar and in the United States.
I don’t think I’ve ever had this feeling before in my life. The Lord is opening my eyes to see the need for a Savior everywhere I go and for the people I encounter. We are all called to live life as missions. I am continually reminded of Matthew 10:7-8 when Jesus commissions the twelve disciples. He says, “The kingdom of heaven has come near. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you received, freely give.” These verses don’t lose their meaning and still remain true today. As Christians we have the responsibility to share the Gospel and bring heaven to earth. Why would we keep that to ourselves?
If you are reading this, the Lord has called YOU to share the good news, heal the sick, and raise the dead. He can and will use anyone and everyone. I’m going to miss Myanmar, but I am excited to also get to share Jesus with those around me when I get home. I’m not just on a missions trip, I am living a missions life. I encourage you to live your life on a mission and don’t stop at anything if it means bringing kingdom to our brothers and sisters.
