Yesterday my team and I experienced our first miracle here in Guatemala. Our main ministry is at a school in the city of San Lorenzo. We are there Monday-Thursday but on Tuesdays we do house visits in the village. It was our first time doing house visits yesterday so we didn’t know what to expect. We had been to two houses and when we were leaving the second one a lady right across the house that we were just in opened her door. Our hosts introduced all of us and they welcomed us in. The mother of the family and three of her kids were there. She told us her name and began to explain more about herself and her family. As she was explaining about her situation, what she said next will forever stay with me.

“I work in the trash dump, but God is still good.”

This woman of four kids, working in the trash dump, and a husband in the hospital was still declaring and believing that God is good. What a woman of faith.

We asked her if she needed prayer for anything and she told us that she couldn’t see clearly. When we tested her vision she couldn’t see the words on our hosts shirt standing 2 feet away. My team and I prayed for her once and tested her vision around 5 feet away. She could see clearly but if he went any farther she couldn’t see the words on the shirt. So we prayed again believing that the Lord was and is healing her sight in that moment. We tested her vision one more time with our host all the way to the fence and she could see the words on his shirt perfectly! Y’all the Lord is good. He is a miracle working God!

The crazy thing is, this isn’t normal. But there’s absolutely no reason why it shouldn’t be. The same God who did miracles throughout scripture is the same God today. He doesn’t change ever.

Thank you Jesus for allowing my team to be a part of a miracle and to be a part of His plan. The Lord wants to use all of us. It’s time to step out in faith and let him be the healing God that He already is.
