So we are somehow over halfway through Thailand! That’s insane! It seems like time is flying by. This month has been really cool but before moving into everything we’re doing here I wanted to give y’all a glimpse of some of the things we did last month.
Ministry in Cambodia was so amazing!
Our hosts were absolutely incredible!
We stayed with them in their home and they were so welcoming and made us part of the family.
We had dinner together most nights of the week and then we would do ministry together during the days.
I also got pretty sick near the beginning of Cambodia and our lovely host was so understanding and brought me a coconut to help with my stomach.

So ministry most days looked like helping in their workplace, Ezra Cafe, a library/coffee shop.

Some of us would also go to the local trauma hospital in the morning and volunteer.
The hospital doesn’t have the funds to have a lot of staff so basically Doctors would do their job and then with all the things like bathing the patients and helping them to the bathroom, etc. is up to family. That means when a patient is admitted they pretty much need a family member (the caretaker) with them at all times.
When we would come in the mornings we were able to give the caretakers a break and play games with them and talk with them and it was such a blessing.

We also got to make paper for beautiful cards that they make at the hospital to help raise funds.

Did I mention we bicycled everywhere?

In the evenings me and Kayla would work at the cafe and the other girls had English class. Sometimes after we got off at the cafe we would be able to help with VBS!

On Sundays, after church, we would have a conversational English class for monks! I think this was one of my favorite things that we were able to do. Soo so cool.

One day we also went to a village in the dump.
It was for sure the most eye opening moment of the race so far.
Our hosts had donated some of their things and they also get a lot of squads that came through and donated clothing and such so we were able to bring that to the people in this village.

And this is Sam!! When we wanted to go somewhere that was too far on bikes, Sam was the man! He was awesome company as he took us places in his tuktuk.

So that’s what Cambodia looked like in a nutshell! We were able to build some cool relationships and God taught me a lot.
