Well it has been a few months since I first committed to the World Race Gap Year. The amount of support and encouragement I’ve received from my friends and family has been wonderfully overwhelming! It can still seem scary or just plain crazy at times, but God has showing me in many ways that this is something He wants me to pursue with all my heart!
I’m pleased to say that I’m already close to 20% of my goal of $15,800. I’ve decided to follow a fundraising model called Adopt a Box. Basically each box has a number on it, and if you choose to ‘adopt’ that box you pledge to donate the amount written on the box. Then you can email me ([email protected]) or send me a facebook message telling me what box you have decided to adopt. After that I’ll mark in the box, and the goal is to fill the jar!
You can donate online via the donate button on this blog or you can mail in a check to ‘6000 Wellspring Trail, Gainesville, GA 30506’. The check is payable to Adventures in Missions with ‘Maggie Strubhar’ in the memo line.
