While I was in Nicaragua, we were given the opportunity to choose into fasting and prayer for a whole day. We prayed for the next day of ministry where we got the chance to share Jesus with people in Central Park as well as pray over people at the hospital.

Many miraculous healings happened on this incredible day. It just showed God’s faithfulness when we give up the things of this world and how He blesses us when we choose into Him wholeheartedly.

Our whole squad split up into groups of about 8 with a local and a translator. While we were praying over some of the locals that worked at the stands in Central Park, a little boy and his mother came up to us.

Side note, the majority of the people that live in Granada thrive off of tourists for their businesses. Currently there are hardly any tourists because of the issues going on with the government. So many places are going out of business and many families are losing their jobs because they have no source of income. We typically pray for businesses to thrive again, for a stable government, and for Nicaragua as a whole.

This woman and her child asked us for prayer. The mother began to explain that she had no money to support her child. He had anemia and a lot of stomach issues that caused him to be in constant pain. We began to pray over the boy, and after the first time we prayed he said it was still the same. So we laid hands on his stomach and his shoulders asking God to bring complete healing to his body. We asked him if any of the pain was gone, he said yes but not all the way. So we laid our hands on him again and we prayed with everything in us that God would lay his hands on this boy and bring complete restoration to his body. After we were finished, we slowly took our hands off of him. Tears were running down his cheeks and he said he felt no pain. His mother hugged him and began to cry.

God works in mysterious ways, and he loves to see perseverance. Healing happens, and God is so living and active.

After we left central park we headed to the hospital. Four people we’re asked to pray over the patients in the emergency room, and I felt God leading me there. So I went with three other men and we began to talk to the families of the patients that were sitting outside of the rooms. I got to step out in boldness and share testimonies of my family that had gone through the things that these people were going through. It gave them hope to know that God was faithful. We prayed over many families, heard their stories, comforted them, and shared the love of Jesus.

There was this one woman that was sitting outside of the room where her husband was. He had fallen off of a horse and hit his head on a rock and knocked him unconscious. He had been in and out of consciousness the entire night and morning. We interceded for him and prayed over the woman for God to just bring complete healing and restoration to his body.

About 20 minutes later we walked back towards the exit where she had been sitting and we saw her walking with her husband. He was completely conscious and walking. She looked at us in awe and looked at us with the biggest smile I’ve ever seen.

Guys, God heals. Interceding is powerful. Prayer is powerful. Perseverance is powerful.

This day showed me the power of prayer. And the power of God.
