I want to share with you this dream that was planted in my heart almost a decade ago. Over the years it has been watered, taken root, tended too, & has finally broken ground. If you are reading this it’s because you are a person who has encouraged me, watered & tended to the seed of this dream that I didn’t even know had begun to grow & you have helped shape me into the person I am today.
Since living in Pennsylvania, God has broken down my false ideas of what I thought ministry and missions were. I used to think that sharing Jesus with people required some special skill or some particular calling, but I have learned that God uses each person he created in different ways—utilizing each of our specific gifts. Thus, the Lord has shown me that I have a desire to share the redemption story of Jesus. As you have seen through the media & your own experiences, our world is dark, broken, hurting, & angry; it is need of healing, restoration, & love. I want to be a vessel for that love & through the WorldRace I have the opportunity to live out this dream that God grafted into my heart.
What I am learning about dreams is that they are never fulfilled alone. I am reminded of how God created us – to be in community with one another & live life FULL because we were created to love & serve & bring the Kingdom to this earth. With you & through you, this dream I didn’t know I had in me is becoming a reality. I am excited to see how God is going to show up & to experience first-hand the work that He is going to do through my team.
I am wondering if you would be willing to partner with me in prayer in the coming months & year? I will be meeting many new people from all walks of life, and with different gifts, talents, & passions, and we will be working together like a family. I am asking for your prayers for my new team and my home team {family & friends}, as the preparation for the coming year is going to be intense, & I can’t do it alone. I am also asking for your prayers over fundraising the money to make the WorldRace a reality.
