This first month of ministry has been amazing! I had the opportunity to work alongside my teammates at a small church. All of us guys grew a lot closer to one another and to Christ. We served by weeding the churches yard, burning trash, carrying bricks, sanding, painting the church, and painting a mural. At first I was not thrilled about this ministry; however, after seeing how joyful and thankful the congregation was it was so worth it! We worked along a man named Sano everyday and he is now one of my favorite people in the world. This first month I also dove into the Word more than I ever had before. I have learned a lot about humility and being slow to speak. He has also been teaching me a lot about love and how many different ways their are to love others. Two things I’m working on are praying without ceasing and continuously living on mission. I am really excited to see where the Lord is taking me and honestly I am really nervous too. These next two months I have some amazing ministry opportunities! In the morning I am visiting pagodas and building relationships with monks and eventually getting coffee with them and helping them with their English. In the evenings I am teaching two classes of boys ranging from 3 to 23 English and the Bible. I would really appreciate prayers for the upcoming months for me to grow closer to God and for my ministry to go well. Thank you all so much for following my journey and supporting me!
