A swampy area full of trash and home to the homeless, a KTV known for sex trafficking, a little church that looks abandoned, and countless street vendors. These are a few things I see on my way to upload my weekly blog at the coffee shop. I’ve begun to see the difference between passing by them and seeing them. Some days I ride right past them without even glancing over at them and my only goal is to get to the coffee shop. But if all I ever do is focus on the destination, I’ll miss the journey I am on. So even if I can’t provide the homeless with homes, save the trafficked girls, provide a new church building, or support every local vendor, I can smile at these people. Smiling, waving, and just acknowledging these people shows them a little glimpse of love, which shows them a lil bit of Jesus. That’s why I’m here, to learn to see Jesus in the little things and be Jesus in the little things. All the littles add up and I’m so excited to see these small acts of love grow into something spectacular! God is so cool and I’m realizing that I barely know Him and will never be able to fully know Him, but the journey to get there is going to be amazing!
