This past friday, I returned from a transformational 10 days in Atlanta, Georgia where I had the amazing privilege of meeting my team and learning about world religions, relationships, gratefulness, prayer, culture, community, and much more. I learned A LOT and danced and laughed and cried and loved on my new best friends. Even though I could probably spend 10 hours rambling about those 10 days, I’m going to break it down to my 3 favorite parts of training camp and why 🙂 enjoy and thank you for reading!!

First of all, I have never experienced worship like I did at TC. I mean, we got INTO IT. All of us praising God at the top of our lungs for hours. Tears. Dancing. My leaders and teammates running around praying over and squeezing each other. No comparison or judgment or negativity. All love and praise for the King as it should be!!!! My next fav part of training camp will probably surprise you. If you know me then you know I’m not the most ~athletic~ girly. My dreams of hiding this fact from my teammates were crushed shortly after I landed in Atlanta and got winded by walking from the baggage claim to the door with my pack. I decided to to tell everyone that I wasn’t at all worried about the fitness test (us coloradians ski every day anyways) and I kept a positive attitude for my own sake. Long story short, I did the fitness hike with my team and we finished 8 minutes early. Between desperate gasps for air and beads of sweat dripping off the tip of my nose, I continued to repeat that I was “thriving.” Determination and positivity got me through that hike when my body could not and it felt so so good to conquer it!!! My third favorite part of training camp was winning squad wars. There are 6 squads launching in september, and we all had a big competition which included blogging, dancing and some ferocious egg-smashing game. In hindsight, I think my team and I may have gotten a little too competitive (or maybe it was just me) but we (I?) DESPERATELY wanted to win. Keep in mind that there is no prize. Anyways, we won. We bonded. It was magical and I love my squad very much.

My most favorite thing is that I grew in my relationship with God and I made a plan to continue to add depth daily. Thank you so very much to my leaders and teammates for pouring into me and teaching me what it looks like to love Him with your whole heart!!! See ya in 47 days!
