I have been home for about two months now and it hasn’t all been easy. It’s been rough to try and adjust back to American life but this past month I have been in georgia catching up with friends and training for another three months overseas…surprise !
For those of you who don’t know yet, I will headed back overseas to Thailand & Malaysia as a team leader with team Ahava on squad Y and with my amazing co leaders ! While I was on the field these past nine months I learned a lot about what it truly means to surrender my plans and thoughts over to the Lord. The Father taught me a lot about what it means to have open hands and an open heart to whatever HE has planned for me. He had said no to what I wanted to do and told me that He had something better in store. I waited for months and months to see what He was going to say and didn’t really get a solid answer until month 5 in India. The Lord had clearly placed it on my heart to go and lead a team out on the field and I fought with Him about it for awhile. In the end it came down to 12 hours. I asked the Lord to send me someone to ask me about going back on the field or team leading without me talking about it before I went to sleep that night and within hours of me asking that He provided someone. So that day I started my application and He just has continued to open up the doors for me. The Lord, as always, knew what was best for me and man, I AM PUMPED for this next season.
Going back to training camp and seeing all these amazing men and women in the same shoes that I was in a year ago and knowing how much growth the Father is going to do in them gets me so excited to get to be a small part of their journey with the Father.
Along with going back overseas I am fundraising again ! I am trying to raise 4,000$ for three months. (3,000 on my blog for my trip and 1,000 personally to me for plane tickets to and from Georgia, gear I need & money to have for the three months).
