hey. you haven’t heard from me in awhile.
just wanted to update everyone to where I am right now- currently chillin in india! life in the past few weeks have looked like saying goodbye to nepal, riding a shuttle .25 seconds to the plane, countless (and I mean, COUNTLESS) security checks at various Asian airports, the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in (liiiiiteraly), many miles walked in my pack, subways, subway, bus rides, and Krispy Kreme. (yes and amen)
that being said, the transition from nepal to india has not been as smooth as I was hoping for. I was preparing myself for the bustling streets and sounds that a place like Mumbai or New Delhi would offer (because that’s what I think of when I think of india), and so you can imagine my surprise when I found myself hopping off a bus in a quiet village in front of a Bible college seminary in basically the most north east of Indian you could get.
AND AN ADJUSTMENT IT HAS BEEN. busy Kathmandu to stillness and time to think and breathe and pray. at first this threw me for a loop, but now I see that God planned out this time for my intimacy with him to grow and grow and grow even more.
we also have reached the halfway point in the race; 5 months from now, I’ll be home. that thought alone sends me a little into a spiral of thoughts and feelings and details and fasfa. (I don’t want to talk about it.)
there’s my current thoughts and feelings about where I’m currently at right now. surrender is a constant, but so is the closeness of the Holy Spirit. I already know this is going to be a very special season.
