Dear Kin,
This past week we celebrated my moms birthday up in Big Bear Mountain. When I was up there I had no idea what I was going to write in this post, but as I was there the phrase “Here I am Lord Send Me” kept coming to me. Throughout my fundraising, I have been thinking of a phrase to build off of and I believed I had it at “be still and know”, however, I never felt like it completely embodied how I felt on the journey of preparing for this trip. With it being paired with this new phrase I feel like it really explains what I am going through. This trip is a big step of faith for me. Stepping out of my own plan and allowing God to send me where his plan leads and telling myself to be still and know in every step of this journey have been really big challenges for me. I have always had a plan and knew how everything was supposed to play out, but with this trip, there are so many things that are out of my control it has been hard for me to tell myself that everything is going to be okay. But now I am telling myself, “Here I am Lord send me, and help me to be still and know that you are God”
As of today, I have $750 in my blog and about $1,000 that has been donated towards my gear. My goal is to have a total of $19,800. This will cover the $15,800 for the trip (which would be needed to donate here in my blog) and the $4,000 for my gear and other extra expenses. (which would be needed to be given to me directly).
