GO. SERVE. LOVE.
Welcome to my very first official WORLD RACE BLOG!!! Wow. I still can’t believe I just typed that out and that it’s actually real. Pinch me, I must be dreaming!
I know you are probably asking questions like, “What the heck is the World Race?” or another question I’ve gotten from people is, “The Amazing Race, are you going to be on tv?”
No, not the Amazing Race and I’m definitely not going to be on tv.
GO: The World Race is a mission trip and also an intense discipleship program stemming from the parent organization Adventures in Missions. I will travel to 11 different countries in 11 months. I will have a squad consisiting of around 50 amazing men and women. Yep, I said that! 11 COUNTRIES. 11 MONTHS. Traveling with two backpacks, drawing closer to the Lord, staying with ministry hosts, and putting feet on the ground in the darkness around the world.
“He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” -Matthew 9:38-39
SERVE: We will be broken down in teams of 5-7 and sent to ministry hosts inside of each country. We will serve our hosts as well as the communities we are joining each month. Our ministry could be manual labor and construction, working in an orphanage, teaching english to locals, going on prayer walks, home visits, hospital visits, working at youth camps, and just building relationships with those around us.
“And the King will say, “I tell you the truth when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!” -Matthew 25:40
LOVE: This one is my favorite, my heart, the one I get to live out wherever my feet are planted. I get to go to places and meet people who may not have hope, they may not have ever been hugged, had a friend to talk to and laugh with, someone who sincerely cares about their heart, or ever heard the name Jesus. My heart explodes with joy knowing He has called ME, this sweet and sassy southern girl from North Carolina to go be his Love, to connect others to our Father’s heart. That is really all he wants us to do as christians….. Love one another and connect them to His heart. He does the rest and it takes all of the hard stuff out of our hands.
“Such love has no fear, beacuse perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. We love each other because he loved us first.” -1 John 4:9-10
“Oh love, great love, fear cannot be found in you. There will never be a day, you’re uncertain of the ones you choose.” – “Mercy” by Amanda Cook
God is entrusting me to GO, SERVE, and LOVE on His babies. I feel blessed, humbled and completely honored to fulfill this calling on my life.
I would absolutely love for you family, friend, or dear person who has stumbled upon this blog on accident to pray for me. Please pray for my squad as we prepare. As you are more than likely aware, I would not be able to take this trip without being financially supported. All that means is you, my friend, have the opportunity to be the sender. You have the opportunity to partner with me in this incredible journey of reaching others. You with your prayers and support will be reaching God’s amazing children on the other side of the globe.
I am asking in this moment, only for your prayers. Ask the Lord what he would have you do. He has called me so He will provide because everything belongs to Him!
Thank you for taking your precious time to read this! Join me for the rest of the journey by subscribing to the blog! There is an orange button located under my name for you to enter your e-mail. You will receive a notification each time I publish a new blog!
Grace and Peace,
Kristin
