Dear Family and Friends,

As many of you have probably heard I have decided to answer a call from God to go on a Mission Trip. This trip is not like any other ordinary mission trip. I will be travelling to 11 different countries in 11 months. I leave in January of 2019 and will return in November of 2019. I have decided to do this trip for many different reasons.

  1. I feel truly led by God to go on Mission trips and I feel like this is part of my purpose in life, to bless others and show them the love of Jesus.
  2. If I don’t go on this Mission trip now, I will regret it and always wonder what it would be like if I went.
  3. I feel like right now is the perfect time before I get married and start a family.
  4. I also would love to do this to continue my journey with God and learning to trust and lean on Him completely.
  5. To love the poor, heal the sick, and to completely let the Holy Spirit eradicate all traces of worldly desires.

The 11 countries I will be travelling to are Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, South Africa, Botswana, Bulgaria, Spain, Serbia, Ecuador, Peru, and Colombia. We will be doing many different things and each country may be a little different. Some of the things we will be doing is teaching children English, holding Vacation Bible School for children, helping out medical and dental facilities, helping build communities, helping woman and girls that are in sex trafficking in the red-light district, and just encouraging and loving people throughout every encounter we have.  We will be the hands and feet of Jesus and will be living as his disciples going Holy Spirit led in everything we do. We will be placing all trust in God and working together as team to be what is needed for people that are struggling for hope.

Now that you all know what I will be doing there and why I am going, now I need the how. How in the world am I going to take a whole year off of life and go live in different countries? This is where I need your help. I need to raise $18,800 to be able to go on the World Race. This is a lot of money for anybody to raise.  I need your help-to raise this money and to pray for me while I am there; while I am fundraising and while I am preparing. This is going to be most rewarding thing I will ever do in my life but it will also be one of the hardest things in my life. I know God will provide this amount 100% and am believing that it will be all raised before I go on the trip.

God has been molding and equipping me for this trip theses last few years. He has healed me emotionally. He has been teaching me spiritually and preparing me physically for this trip. The discipline that I have been learning has been equipping me in ways that I was unaware of.

These past few years of my life have been such a whirlwind for me. After my husband left me for another woman, my life and my world was turned upside down.  I felt like my heart was thrown onto the ground and shattered into a million pieces.  It was the worst pain I have ever felt in my life and never want to endure that pain ever again. God got me through that tough time. He got me through the days that I did not want to go on anymore. He lifted my Spirit and showed me Joy that I have never experienced in my life. I have grown so much in these past years and am so thankful that all of it happened so I can finally be truly happy. I never realized how unhappy I was until I became happy. I can honestly say that I am the happiest I have ever been in my life and I owe all of that to Jesus. He is showing me everyday my true identity and the purpose that my life has. He loves me for me and I don’t have to do a thing for his approval. He already loves me. What a beautiful thing to know how truly loved I am and to see Jesus put all of the pieces of my heart that was shattered and slowly place them back together. He even put them back together better than what they were to start with. I have given my entire life to Jesus. I place it into his hands because of all he has done for me. I can’t thank him enough. He has saved my life. So I choose to be obedient in what God has placed in my heart.

Not only has God changed my life and prepared me emotionally, but he has also been preparing me physically and spiritually. As most of you know I have lost about 135 pounds in about a year. I am now more fit than I have ever been. I am physically able to conquer the tasks God will be placing before me such as hiking to different places, sitting on the airplane for long flights, going into different countries and just having the confidence of being me. Losing all of that weight has given me more confidence.

God has also been preparing me spiritually. I have been taking a class at my church called School of Kingdom Purpose. This class is not only preparing me for some of the things that I may face on my journey, but it has also brought together a family. This family will be praying for me through my entire journey. I will be graduating in May but the people I have met in this class are family and will come along with me on this journey as well.

So in my obedience to God, I ask you for your help. If you are felt led to donate, please donate. If you can pray for me, please pray. I will be asking for prayers for everyday leading into the race, while I am there and after the race. This journey will not be easy; it will be very difficult but very rewarding. I am not able to do it on my own. I need my family and my friends for encouragement and help. So this is why I am writing this letter. I am asking for help and encouragement from each and every one of you.

Lastly, I want each and every one of you to come on this journey with me. I will be writing blogs starting now and until the end of the race. I would love for you all to subscribe to my blog so I can take you on my journey as well. I will be coming home to Wisconsin sometime in December of this year and will be spending time with family before I leave in January. I love you all and thank you all so much for your support and love.

“Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.” Psalms 37:5 NLT
