Ministry here in Cambodia has definitely been new. We teach English at a learning center from 4-6 pm, and from 5-7 pm we teach English at the University in the pagoda. With this schedule, 6 of us go to teach at the learning center and then teach at the pagoda for the last hour. The other 2 guys go teach at the pagoda for the whole two hours. It has been new for the fact that this is the first time that we have taught English on the Race, other than one time in Guatemala. I taught English for the first time without a teacher in the room at the University. I wasn’t sure how that would go, but it actually went pretty well. I could’ve taught through the curriculum a bit faster, but everything else was good.

Along with our schedule of only teaching in the evening, it has been hard to find things to do in the morning. We just have a weird layout of ministry, because we teach in the evening when everyone else eats dinner at night. So compared to our ministry time in Guatemala we have only one less hour of ministry, but with the way our day is, we have a lot of free time. Every time we change countries, I always have a hard time to figure out my routine. This last week however has been really good because I have been able to use my time in the morning to dig into the Word more and learn more about God. I have started to enjoy this time where I can learn new cool things, things that I have never seen in scripture before.

This weekend marks the last two months of the Race. It truly seems weird to say this. I remember back to the first days in Ecuador when we went to Dunamis, thinking that we would “never” reach this point and time in the Race. While the end is approaching fast, I know that this lifestyle could also be the same I live when I get back home. I mean that the Race isn’t just a 9 month period of time that I can only see and grow in my relationship with my Father. The Race is preparing me for the rest of my life. It shows me a new way to see several things and apply them when I get back to the States. So here’s to the next two months. That I would be ready to live in newness when I arrive back in the States.

Also I updated the photo section on my blog, so that you can get more of a feel of what it is like here.
