Hey everyone!
God put this burden on my heart a few days ago. I am asking for prayer and partnership with you all. I would like to introduce you to the Anderson Family. God wants us to raise $5000 by March 6th so that they can have a car for doing ministry in Peru.
Our ministry host, Tim and Holly Anderson are our ministry hosts. They are the family that helps with the construction projects around the orphanage. They have been in Peru since September 2016, serving in this way. They moved into the building that they now call their home after the orphanage moved to its new building. With being here over Thanksgiving, they really decided to bless us with preparing a lot of food and joining us in community. Not only on Thanksgiving, but they have also shown us around Cusco when they haven’t needed to do so. They have welcomed team silverback into their own family life. It has been so cool to feel so at home when being so far away from home. While they have poured into our lives, they have also put in many unseen hours into this ministry for the orphanage.
The Andersons don’t have a car that they can take for themselves to drive for things such as grocery runs and other things that come across their day. Our ministry host’s home is about a mile walk to the nearest bus/taxi pick up area. When they ‘desperately’ need a car, like for carrying our bags when we first got to Cusco, they borrow a car from Holly’s parents that live in the area.
In the past, they have set up a fundraiser/received money to buy a car for themselves. They raised all of the money intended to go towards the car, but then the roof of the orphanage started to leak, so they put the money toward that instead.
It is so cool to see how they are depending on God for the things that they need. Even though this is not an essential need, it will save them much time when making trips into town. I know that all of you have already supported me so much in my own funding for this trip and I am very thankful for your support. I think it would be really cool to have a ‘family’ of supporters for the Anderson Family!
So their plan is to get a landcruiser which will supply/help them with the things that they would need to do. The cost in total is around $5000. There isn’t a deadline/time this needs to be done, but I think it would be really cool to have all of the money raised by March 6th. This is around 100 days. So this in turn would be about $50 a day.
