I was born in Littleton, Colorado and have lived in Colorado all of my life. I have 2 other brothers. One is older and the other is younger than me. Yes, I’m the middle child. It is great! My brothers are awesome and we get along very well. My family has 2 dogs and they are great!

For school, during my elementary years I went to a private school at my church until it closed. My brothers and I then moved over to homeschooling. My mom homeschooled the three of us. We were actually very productive, and at the same time it was great because all three of us would hang out together! My sophomore year I transitioned over to another private school-Rock Solid Christian Academy. I finished high school and graduated there.

For things outside of school; I played violin for 10 years and that was good. But, it became a lot with practicing, school and playing soccer. I also have played soccer my whole life. I started when I was around 5 years old, and continued through high school. I played for 5 years in total on a competitive home school team. (My 8th grade year I ended up playing because the team was short on players.) I was one of the captains on the team for both my Junior and Senior year. In all I love playing soccer!

Recently, I have started doing triathlons. I began last summer, and completed my first sprint triathlon. The distances of sprint triathlons are; swim-.5 miles, bike-12 miles, and run-5 miles. In total since then, I have completed three, with my most recent one being less than a month ago. I also enjoy bouldering, which is pretty much rock climbing that is no more than 15 feet high above pads. Because of the pads you don’t need to have any safety harnesses, which is great! I’ve mostly done it indoors, but have gone outside for a day. For the past few years I have also been the captain of a Ragnar relay team. In total I have run for 3 years; each year running an average of 18 miles. The relay covers around 200 miles with 12 runners. (We never got 12 for the past 2 years.) While running is not my favorite thing in the whole world, it is so much fun to run with my friends.

Finally, for work I have mowed lawns for my brother for the past 5 years. This year we have a total of 44 lawns, which is the most we have ever had. On top of that I have a window screen repair business that has been going for the past 1 1/2 years. With my business, it is usually off and on as I get customers. In the spring and fall I aerate lawns which is very good money. This last spring I had over 100 lawns!

Lastly, I own a Jeep and it is a pretty great car to have. I have a soft top that I put on for winter, and take off for summer. I love driving with nothing on my car so I usually take off everything too early, despite the wisdom of my parents… Which is a big mistake. Colorado ends up having a late snow like the previous year and dumps a lot of snow into my car. Overall, it is worth it! Now, The World Race is the next step of my journey!

Some significant factors and people that have impacted my life are: First, when I was saved. Without having Jesus in my life, I would not have felt God calling me toward doing missions. I began feeling this call after going to Puerto Rico my sophomore year in high school. A person that impacted my life there was Julio. When I first met him, I saw that he had a love for the people around him and a love for God. He really lived unashamed, and loved God fully.

Another person that impacted my life is; Felix Vega. He was my first soccer coach in high school, and he really showed me prayer as it really should be. -Just talking to God, but he also intertwined scripture in his prayers too. My two brothers also have impacted my life in how they are living for Christ. Both of them encourage me with the things that I have struggled with and been good examples that I can lean on as we go through life. My parents have also been there for me when I made the decision to go on The World Race, and have encouraged me with the things surrounding that.

My mentor, Matt Campbell went through the book, The Gospel Centered Life with me, and it really helped me go through some topics that prepared me for my next step in life. My other mentor, Sam Berry also helped me with accountability, and how to grow in my faith through the struggles that I have. Finally, my friend has impacted my life by being accountability partner. He really has encouraged me on my journey of life.

I have a few things that I want to get out of the year to come. First, I believe that God is leading me towards missions, but I don’t know what that looks like and what kind a job I should get. I want to feel God’s leading in that area of my life. Also, I want to Unashamed of Jesus and what He has done for me, and spread that light to the people around me. Next, I would like to come out of this next year with great friendships. Finally, I would love to become fluent in Spanish.

Some things that you can be praying for me are;

1. For me to fix my sight on Jesus on this missions trip.

2. For me to become Unashamed for Him.

3. For me to lean on Jesus, to help me push through the harder days on the trip.
