Wonder.
Sometimes I wonder. I wonder where I would be going to college, where I would be living, would I have my own apartment, would I have a dog, what kind of dog, would I have a boyfriend, where would I be working, would I be making good money. All of these things bounce around my head like a ping pong machine. When I’m on my way to the airport to embark on this nine month journey, and when I’m having to keep my sanity layover after layover. But then on September 14, I landed in Chaing Mai, Thailand… and I didn’t wonder anymore- I knew. I knew that this is where God has me in his plan, it’s where I am going to spread the gospel for 2 months until I get to share it for 1 in Malaysia, 3 in Costa Rica and 3 in Ecuador. I have learned to never question Abba. Everything that has happened in my life has been for a reason. Every tear and every smile was to get me to this point in my life where I can be the bearer of the good news to hopeless people.
Here in Chaing Mai, I am living above Bella Goose, which is a coffee shop actually based out of the Wisconsin Dells…small world!! But, it also backs up to the red lights district, which is very eye opening. I live in a room with 5 other girls, I have a top bunk which I’ve already made my home. Community living is a completely new concept for me, coming from a home where I was fortunate enough to have my own bedroom and eventually my own bathroom. Like I said, I share a room with 5 other girls, a bathroom with 30, and showers with 37 other men and women…ya. It sounds terrible I know, but do YOU have 37 brothers and sisters who all love you and want nothing but the best for you? Didn’t think so!
Night markets, unlimited coffee, coffee IN A BAG, clams, dragon fruit, smiles everywhere, and Jesus is what my past week has looked like and I am so in love. But with that, there is also a lot of darkness. John 1:5 says, “And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” Every good thing I just mentioned shines through the dark and broken ideas/lifestyles here, and I ask that you continue to please pray for me and my team so that we may continue to be the light in Thailand.

Zechariah 14:6-7 says, “And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.”
