The second half of debrief was quite the roller coaster. The 3rd week of the month was our squads 3rd full debrief. Ive never fully explained debriefs so here we go. All the teams and members of the squad join up in one location. Our coaches (Jane and Mark) and our mentor (Stephanie) fly in from America to join us. It is a week of check in’s with the teams and individually. We have sessions (teachings) from the coaches and Steph and its a week for them to pour into us and for us to pour into each other. Basically a reset and refocus on the Lord together as a unit.

This was my first full debrief as a Squad Leader and it was very different from my past experiences lol. I didn’t have any free time from the planning and meetings and the involvement that was asked of me. But it really was wonderful actually. The Lord spoke to me a lot and despite the schedule and my body not being rested my spirit felt very energized. I learned a lot about myself this week.

I don’t say it enough but i’m so grateful for these people. It’s truly hard to explain to anyone who isn’t on the race how crazy this is. Living, eating, serving, working and traveling with the same people for months is insane. I don’t really do anything alone. These people have seen all of me in every way, more than anyone has in my life and I think they still like me lol. LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Ok now to the juicy stuff……..

My MOM CAME… SHE CAME TO GEORGIA!!! now mind you Georgia is a beautiful country. BUT it was winter and we were in the city. The true gem of Georgia is on the mountain side. So it’s kind of not really a crazy sight to see this time of year where we were. BUT my mother and my lovely soon to be step father Charles (love you fam) flew all the way out to see me for our Parent Vision Trip. AKA a week of ministry with our parents and asking them to step into what took us weeks, dare I say months, to get used to in 4 days. LOL!!!

Charles travels all the time for work so he is pretty used to this life style. But I cant say the same for my mom. She LOVES me guys. I told her that a lot of parents and their racers had planned to go skying for their fun day and she says, “ohhhhhhh ok sweetie that could be fun”. I have never felt more love from my mother in my entire life. She is NOT a fan of things outside typically. Like NOT a fan. Thinks i’m crazy not a fan. But she was willing. And so willing throughout the week. She was stretched, and went through so many struggles. I know it was a hard week for her but she endured and sought the LORD. I LOVE YOU MOM and THANK YOU FOR COMING! You mean the world to me. You have taught me so much in my life and especially about the Lord. I don’t know where I would be without you.

A ministry day with mom charles and greg (austin’s dad). Prayer walk, led to cable car ride to prayer over the entire city

So the week looked like a lot of sessions, stories and testimonies. Prayer walks, worship and a lot of listening prayer. We even were blessed with the opportunity to have some Iranian friends come and share their testimonies with us and our parents which was so so powerful. Let’s never forget as a body that the Lord is moving everywhere. That we have brothers and sisters e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e!!!!!!

I LOVE YOU Y SQUAD

AND I LOVE YOU MOM AND CHARLES
