Who were you before you followed Christ?
Where were you when you heard?
Where were you when you changed?
Where were you when you maybe got lost again?
Where were you when God guided you back?
Where were you when you knew who you were?
Where were you when you saw God in your life?
Who would you be without conviction?
Everyone’s got their testimony right.
I’ve got the answers to those questions tattooed on my heart. Moments and lessons I will NEVER forget.
But the last question holds the most weight for me. Because that’s the only question I can’t answer. I can have an idea, but only God knows, and that’s what I’m most thankful for. No one is a good person because of their service or purpose. No one can be good, only justified through Christ.
The point of this is a reminder that it’s not about me. It’s about the answers to those questions. It’s about God. It’s about decreasing yourself (John 3:30) in any way to be available for Him. It’s about submitting to that conviction to be used so more people can answer those questions; so that more people can be changed.
The first question that has to be answered though is:
Who is Jesus Christ?
