One of my lovely teammates, Emilie Blomberg, wrote this blog about me. She has been wonderful to get to know, and I’m honored to share this blog she wrote about me with you guys!

Let me tell you about my teammate Jen!

I’ve only been on Jen’s team for a month, but our two teams spent a month together in Nepal. We were also together during all-squad month in Colombia and almost-all-squad-month in Ethiopia.

Even though I haven’t been on her team long, I am learning a lot from Jen! She has a positive attitude and you never hear her talking bad about anyone.

Jen is very talented musically. She has served as a worship coordinator for our squad this entire year. I love when Jen leads worship; she has the gift and blessing of ushering a congregation into the Presence. She also reminds me that being good at something takes discipline and practice.

Jen is so creative! Recently she planned a fun and unique activity for a youth service. Each person ordered food from a cryptic menu, and they received plates of interesting items they did not expect. The corresponding lesson Jen taught had to do with spiritual gifts. Our spiritual gifts might not be what we expect, and we may be tempted to compare our gifts with the gifts of others, but they are all important and necessary.

Hearing Jen preach and share her testimony has been beautiful and inspiring. Every time she speaks, she has valuable and important lessons to share.

Jen loves knitting and has made many garments for people on our squad, including hats, mittens, scarves, and leg warmers. She buys all the yarn herself and is generous with her time, as it takes hours or even days to complete each project.

We’ve all been thinking about what is next after the race. Jen has lots of ambitions and dreams. She is smart and loves learning. She has said that she wants to continue taking classes and pursuing degrees for the rest of her life because there is so much more she wants to know. Whatever she chooses to do, Jen is going to take major ground for the Kingdom. Nothing can stand in this girl’s way!

I love you Jen and have enjoyed getting to know you this year, and especially being on your team!
